Terror from the Deep...

Please be wary if you feel the need to take a swim off the coast of Echizen in Fukui prefecture (Japan) this fall; divers say a mob of giant Echizen kurage jellyfish are currently spawning there. These monsters can grow up to 2 meters (6 ft. 7in.) in length and can weigh around 200 kilograms (440 lb.) each.

This means no matter what, do not allow this jelly fish to give you a lap dance -- it won’t be fun and you will die. At least you will have the coolest obituary in the newspaper.

This isn’t all fun and games though; because local fishermen turn agro themselves once the giant jellyfish arrive. They disrupt the fishing industry by destroying fishing equipment like nets, along with eating the prized fish themselves. So, the battle of the giant jellyfish rages on in Echizen town, with no clear winner in sight.
