Legend of the Seas

Legend of the Seas
12 December 2008 @ HarbourFront Centre...

Visited this mega cruise ship by Royal Caribbean...
Conprising of 11 decks, and weighing about 70,000 tonnes, this super ship can take up to 2,074 passengers...
...en route to the ship...

couple of minutes walk inwards...Deck 2 - Passenger cabin aisle...Ocean View Stateroom...Mirror beside the bed adds just that hint of sleazy feel don' ya think? But the oceanview stateroom has quite a nice view through the port window~ good enough for a room.
...dressing tableDeck 5 - Anchors Aweigh Lounge...
Deck 5 - Fashion & Formal Wear section...
a glimpse at the liquor and sundries area...
Deck 6 - Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony
Perfect for that couple getaway...
the balcony...
a coffee table and 2 chairs to relax...
the balcony view is splendid~
...view inwards from the balcony... atypical of most hotel rooms...
me at the aisle...Deck 8 - Grand Suite with Balcony (Honolulu Suite)
... past the door, the interior is spacious~!
... it even has a bar counter!

Here at the Grand Suite, the balcony's wide enough for 4 persons...
me in the Grand suite...Deck 9 - Swimming pool area...the poolside is so beautiful I almost wanted to strip down and take a dip into the waters!

rows and rows of deck chairs for the sun-lovers......did I said rows and rows ?
(right across... SuperStar Virgo just berthed in... )... there's even a mini putting greens for the avid golfer...... and a rock-climbing wall with a hulky instructor...
... walked a round above the pool deck...
... back in the lobby... a scaled replica of the mega cruise ship...Deck 11 - Viking Crown Lounge...... took a rest...
... served with Shirley Temple...... on the way out... snapped a photo of the interior arcade...

Legends of the Seas is one of the two mega cruise liners by Royal Caribbean... the other being Rhapsody (that runs the Australia - New Zealand route,) which wasn't able to come into Singapore because its height exceeded the maximum clearance at the HarbourFront area (think cablecar lines).

Hi Marshal,

If the ship sails at 4pm, you should be able to check-in by 2:30pm.

Prior to that, you can hang around shopping + dining at Vivo City, which is a mega shopping mall adjoining HarbourFront Center. Vivo City should take you up the entire day.

Most activities come alive from 9:30am onwards, and the journey from the Airport to Vivo City should let you reach by that timing (9:30am).

If you're more adventurous, you might consider taking a cable car ride across the Harbour straits to Sentosa Island, an isle filled with Tourist Attractions.

For the IT & Electronics savvy, check out "Sim Lim Square". Its a one-stop IT & Consumer Electronics Mall in the heart of the city. (Its along the way frm the Airport to HarbourFront Center).

Hi Marshal,

Just to add on, prior to leaving the Airport, do make a point to hunt for the Tourist information booth (Uniquely Singapore). There should be a lot of information pamphlets, brochures, and Maps of Tourist Attractions in Singapore. Pick up a few!

Weather is humid and hot in Singapore, n Temperatures range frm 28 Celsius (rainy) to 33 Celsius (sunny). T-shirts and Bermudas is ideal. Drink lots of water.
