Dragonball The Movie
Coming to a theatre near you on 13 March 2009...
Starring some American dude with spiky hair as Goku...
Jamie Chung (babelicious~!) as 琪琪 (Qi-Qi is Goku's Fiancee as kid)
Chow Yun Fatt (Yuck~) as 龟仙人
Emmy Rossum as 布马 (pre-teen)
Directed by James Wong (Final Destination)
and produced by Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle)...
No doubt CG technology has improved tremendously over the past decade, like many comments already all over the net, I shared the same feeling that this movie will not work out... but I am still gonna watch anyways... simply because of the human tendency to wanna watch catastrophes...
ah in case you wanna have a rough taste of how Dragonball Live Action might be:

Neapolitan Mastiff
Original post by Jeslyn
Behold~ the Neapolitan Mastiff (click to read more from Wikipedia)
Q: Who in the right sense of mind will keep this huge a dog!?? Q: If my enemies were to set this Mastino upon me, I'd most probably just bite my own tongue and die on the spot before the canine's teeth could even reach me...
Interesting Facts:
a) This breed is reported to have been pitted against Lions in the Colosseum and other ancient Roman arenas.
b) The Neapolitan Mastiff rarely barks unless under provocation, renowned for sneaking upon intruders as opposed to alerting them of their presence first.
Freaky...

Ashes of Time Redux
Woohoo~ Wong Kar Wai got a handful of mega stars in this movie... Tony Leung, Leslie Cheung (what?!), Brigitte Lin (thats Lin Qing Xia for you), Maggie Cheung, Charlie Yeung (Yay!), Carina Lau, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Jacky Cheung... wow~
Ok, from my understanding, its actually a remake of the old Chinese film [东邪西毒].

View the Trailer in better resolution at the official website or you view it from Apples.
Alternatively, view its different versions of the trailer from Youtube before its taken down:

This is a 5:34 min trailer:
This aside, watch the parody of [东邪西毒] called [东成西就].
Oh, while you are reminicing the old films, watch the latest upcoming version of "The Legend of the Condor Heros" [射雕英雄传]. Isn't 黄蓉 so adorable?

MATAMOROS, Mexico
A car collides into cyclist participating in a race in Mexico’s northern border city of Matamoros. At least one person was killed and 14 injured when a driver slammed into a bicycle race. Police investigator Jose Alfredo Rodriguez says the 28-year-old driver was apparently drunk and fell asleep when he crashed into the race. Rodriguez says Juan Campos was charged with killing Alejandro Alvarez, 37, of Monterrey.
Campos says he is an American citizen living in Brownsville, Texas. U.S. consulate spokesman Todd Huizinga said officials were looking into whether Americans were involved.

Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora
魔法遣いに大切なこと ~夏のソラ~
[魔法使的注意事项~夏之空]
Aired: 03.07.2008 till 18.09.2008
TV Series, 12 episodes
Genre: Magic
Producers: Hal Film Maker
Story:
In this world, Nami has the power of using magic, but with her clumsy nature she has no means of controlling it, although it's secondary to the way of controlling her feelings. When she meets Ryotaro Tominaga by crashing his bike, she becomes more and more anxious to understand her first love, while Ryotaro is despising her. Nami has a kind heart and soul, but she lacks courage and spirit to make crucial decisions especially in the last year of high-school. Here Nami and her friends reside in the world of magic, mixed feelings, missunderstanding, unrequited love, hate and passion to realize where they all belong.
Suzuki Sora is a cheerful country girl from the small town of Biei. She made a promise to her father, and following this promise applied and is accepted for a magic intership in Tokyo, where she will face the life in a big city. While training to get better with her magic, she meets a mysterious boy also practicing to become a mage. While he can not use magic that well and he seems distant and cold at first, Sora's fate intertwines with his and the two are thrown together, learning a lot of new things about life and each other.
Based on the Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto ~Natsu no Sora~ shounen manga by Yamada Norie and illustrated by Yoshizuki Kumichi, serialised in Shounen Ace in 2008.
The story is set in present day Tokyo. Much of the setting is based upon real areas, the more obvious ones being the Shibuya Crossing and Tokyo Tower. The main backdrop of the series where they all reside is in Shimokitazawa, roughly 6 minutes west of Shibuya on the Keio Inokashira Line. In Tokyo is the Bureau of Magic, which employs Mage Labour for certain special requests by everyday people. However, the mages must only use their magic with special permission, and any unlicensed use results in a penalty.
Q: I just finished watching episode 1 of this amazing title and is so thrilled that I immediately blogged this up! I must say that this is one title that I gave my 5-star rating from merely less than 3 mins into episode 1. Yep, most of the backdrop of this anime is based on real actual areas, so you get to see Tokyo in its very true form! What to look out for is how the production and camera crew went through the efforts to capture the real life scene. Its not easy capturing such scenes especially when you have to cope with human traffic and timing. Appreciate their efforts!
In addition, I love the soundtracks so much! Check out its Official Website and tune up your speakers~
Hope the story develops well~

Hot and Sexy Cheerleaders parading right in front of Beckham...
Beckham steals a glance...
(Q: How NOT to see? Its right in front of him! Those white hot pants and toned bon-bon! err.. Thunder-thigns though...)
Beckham felt a murderous intent beside him... Victoria's jealous! Hmmpf~!
Victoria gives the cold shoulder! Beckham's gonna be sleeping in the living room that night~
Q: Ho ho ho... I guess such things happens everywhere and between every couples. As a guy, I say, if you wanna steal such eye-candy, dun get caught... if you get caught, well you've got to put your coaxing skills into exercise!
As for the girls, come on... its natural to get jealous and angry that your guy's salivating over some cheerleaders in those sexy uniforms~ but when a whole group of them is performing right in front, how not to see? Shut your eyes until they are gone? Situational-wise, Beckham ought to be forgiven isn't it?
Guess it time Victoria should put on some of her sexy skin-tight clothing and seduce his hubby back~ wahahaha

Make a choice 3
something for the guy-readers...
(Original post by Dannychoo)
Quote:
You are in Akihabara at Asobit Game when all of a sudden there is a tsunami warning. You have 5 seconds to choose a DVD which will act as a float to keep you alive. The 3D girl is Moe-chan and the 2D girls are from the eroge Elf Hime - click on "sample CG" to see the NSFW shots.
Q's choice: Moe-Chan. She's so kawaii~!
Q's mind:
I honestly tell you, when I am overseas, I make it a point to visit their video stores no matter what -- Because they usually sell stuffs that Singapore doesn't. Take my last trip to Taipei for example, I got [色。戒。starring Tony Leung] - Director's Cut - but never really got the chance to watch the show cuz the disc is destroyed... (long story, which I have gotten over)
As for the above topic... Adult Video Stores are a fun place to enter. One might say that such stores wun survive because such videos are abundance on the Internet. I only have one sentence to offer - "The joy is not in watching the content, its in the buying and owning".
No, its not just those cheapo-plastic-wrapped pirated DVDs, I am referring to those ORIGINAL Adult DVDs in their original casing.
Question: Have you bought any adult videos?
Q: Nope, none yet, but will buy if I have the chance. Just bringing it back into Singapore and risk getting caught at the customs is refraining me from doing so...
