Katana & Girl
via Dannychoo
Those with a penchant for Katana + Girl would be delighted to know that ladies are signing up for classes of Sword swinging in Japan... lets hope the sports will be imported over here.
Below, the reporter joins of the the 2 hour classes to investigate. The class starts with some demonstration fights. After practising basic movements, swords are passed out to the students so they can try out some techniques. At the end of the lesson, students use what they learned to act out a sword battle scene.
Proofs to be a good workout and helps improve posture.

Hatsune Miku: Fake and Real
Hatsune Miku: Fake and Real
via SankakuComplex:
This article at Sankaku probably sent many like-minded hobbyist like me flying off to our figurine display shelves to take a closer examine of our Hatsune Miku to ascertain if we got the real deal...
I can't read Japanese, but I'll try to decipher to the best of my guess...
Below pictures shows the FAKE one on your LEFT. REAL one on your RIGHT.
FAKE one's eyes are looking leftwards and her mouth is closed, while the spare face is looking forward with her mouth opened. But the REAL one is the opposite. Also, the REAL one comes with her spare hair in wrapped in plastic to protect its paintwork.

Over all paintwork looks messy.
The "GOODSMILE COMPANY" branding is off-colour. Also, the "Copyright" logo on the FAKE one is not encircled; its merely a letter C.
In the box interior, the "NENDOROID" wording of the FAKE one are up-side down.
The stand-base of the FAKE one has infamous "M.I.C." trademark...

SDXC Memory Cards
SDXC Memory Cards
New SDXC memory card spec supports 2TB capacities
via GIZMODO and Dannychoo:
Quotes:
The SD association has announced a new card spec dubbed SDXC (eXtended Capacity) that can support memory of up to 2TB with read/write speed 104MB per sec.
According to their calculations, that would mean you could 100 high-def movies, 60-hours of HD recordings, or 17,000 fine mode photos on a portable device. Again, keep in mind that this is spec at this point - not an actual product. But we could see something based on it as early as next year.
Obviously, there aren't many devices out there that could make full use of it right now, but a card with this kind of capacity and bus speed could pull the industry forward.
Q: ... and like a Dannychoo fella comment "SSD drives dead before they even began..."

SINK BATHING
SINK BATHING
Original post via Dannychoo
I suppose some may find this idea refreshing... even I might wanna try this if I ever have a large enough sink... but you wun be very happy if you find out about the following news...
BK employee takes Bath in Sink
Source: Consumerist.com
A Burger King employee who took a bath in the burger chain's sink is probably regretting that someone filmed it and posted the video to MySpace, because the local Health Department was among those viewers who were not amused.
Mark McDonnell, the County Health Commissioner, was emailed the video and used it as evidence against Burger King.
"Any bacteria on his skin could have been deposited giving people food poisoning," McDonnell told WHIOTV.
In the clip, the employee is seen bathing in the sink, using a bucket market "sanitizing solution" to dump soapy water on himself. At one point the employee who was filming the prank tells the manager that someone is bathing in the sink, and the manager simply shakes her head and continues counting money.
Burger King has issued this statement about the incident:
"We have sanitized the sink and have disposed of all other kitchen tools and utensils that were used during the incident. We have also taken appropriate corrective action on the employees that were involved in this video.
Additionally, the remaining staff at this restaurant is being retrained in health and sanitation procedures."
Burger King bagged 25-year-old Timothy Tackett in August 2008 after a four-minute video of his birthday bath in the sink of a Xenia, Ohio, restaurant landed on MySpace and YouTube.
Tackett appeared to be naked in the sink.
Burger King promised to work with the health department to retrain staffers in proper sanitation procedures.
KFC gals turned sink into hot tub

Los Angeles - They serve fast food, but they're slow learners.
Four months after a Burger King employee lost his job for taking a bubble bath in a restaurant sink, three scantily clad teens were fired when they turned a basin at their northern California KFC into their personal hot tub.
They landed in hot water with the chicken chain's management when one of the bikini-clad dimwits made the same mistake as the Ohio Burger King employee - she posted photos of the dippy escapade on MySpace.
The photos included captions such as "haha KFC showers!" and "haha we turned on the jets," and were filed under a gallery called "KFC moments," according to the Record Searchlight newspaper in Redding, Calif.
The story broke before the unidentified girl could scrub public access to her profile. On her MySpace page, the girl listed herself as a 17-year-old worker at the Anderson KFC near Redding.
"I'm a KFC worker, they are my best friends and my family," she said on her site.
The three were suspended Tuesday - and have since been fired, said KFC spokesman Rick Maynard.
"KFC has zero tolerance for violations of our operating standards, and our franchisee has taken immediate action by terminating the employees who were involved," said Maynard.
An assistant manager told the Record Searchlight that no manager was on duty when the steamy photos were likely taken and that the trio closed the restaurant themselves.
Now lets hope these videos doesn't give any funny ideas to our local fast food restaurants employees...
