HATSUNE MIKU: Got it...
Saturday after work... parked outside my usual cafe and picked up Hatsune Miku before lunch...
Lunch and books can wait (in the background...)...; Miku comes first!
The auntie who served me my coffee went: "so cute~~~~~~!!!" and I had half the cafe's crew crowding behind me in an instant...
Too many parts... so I'd save the poses for now...
Kawaii deshou~?Another, close-up...
Finally satisfied enuf to start lunch~ it was 3:30pm; really famished! Its an hour before my saturday class and I usually find a nice quiet place to lunch and study...
This is one of my "RFCP" (Recently-Found-Chillout-Place), for the following reasons:
1) In town, yet out of sight from common traffic;
2) Serves very nice chicken pies and delicious avocado drink;
3) Couple of cute girl-crew and very friendly aunties;
4) Strong aircon + oscillating fan makes the place very cooling;
5) Simple furnishing offers conducive environment for reading;
6) Most importantly - I can jar-gar my car through the glass window!
This 1 black-pepper pie is enough to fill a stomach. Its served hot, always - I once ordered a pie and I left the shop telling the staff that I'm off to collect something and will be back in 10 mins. I returned and was surprised that the staff took back the pie and kept it warm, only to serve to my table again upon my return. How thoughtful! - oh, have I mentioned that you'll find a whole hard-boiled egg inside?
Back home... changed Miku's pose to the even more kawaii pose...

HATSUNE MIKU [ 初音ミク ]
[ 初音ミク ]
GOODSMILE COMPANY has did it again~
I've made up my mind to place an order for Hatsune Miku nendoroid ... AT ALL COST~!
I've in fact missed the first release, but thank goodness they're gonna release it for a second time!
- Kawaii deshou?
I still remember very clearly that I've stated that I shall stick to Archers category... "for a start"... [ Of Bows and Arrows ] ... guess I've venture out of this category oreadi... opps...
Also by GOODSMILE COMPANY, this 1/8 Hatsune Miku is also a decently beautiful piece... the only thing keeping me from getting this is my lack of shelf space at home!
The Nendoroid's definitely going onto my office desk~ I have lotsa shelf space there~ wakakaka~
Another... FIGMA Hatsune Miku~ probably the biggest announcement in the otakusphere at the Tokyo Anime Fair 2008. Picture hijacked from Dannychoo's coverage of the Tokyo Anime Fair 2008. No release date as yet... but its already on my buy-list... =P
Honda-san ever spoken to me before that "if anime girls turn into human in the real world, they'll look monstrous with those big eyes...." I hope he'll see this cutie below when he visits my blog next time... (picture hijacked from Dannychoo's)
In case you dunno, Miku's not from any anime; she's a Vocaloid. Read more from Wiki.
Last but not least, here's some entertainment from Miku and friends. Watch the 2nd part where they do the ever kawaii Carameldansen!

UNIVERSITY RANKING
Just chanced upon an NTU advertisement on Yahoo!. Was kinda peeved to see universities advertising... and it also reminds me of a conversation with my mum one fine morning over breakfast...
Sourced from Wikipedia:
The THES - QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings around the world, published by The Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The full listings feature on the QS website and on the THES website. They have been running since 2004 and are broken down by subject and region.
The ranking weights are:
Peer Review Score (40%)
Recruiter Review (10%)
International Faculty Score (5%)
International Students Score (5%)
Faculty/Student Score (20%)
Citations/Faculty Score (20%).
Yea, I am aware that there are many other rankings out there, some are bias towards US, some towards UK, some toward Natural sciences, some bias here and there... and there were lotsa disputes and criticism over certain criteria of rankings... but heck, I chose this.
NUS: ranked 33
MONASH: ranked 43
err... where's NTU? Definately nowhere between rank 3 and 31...

GEKIJOUBAN NARUTO SHIPPUUDEN
NARUTO SHIPPUUDEN MOVIE
劇場版 Naruto 疾風伝
Air: 04.08.2007
Q: Just watched this 95-min movie; so exciting, so creative, so funny, and so touching...
Synopsis (source: ANN; edited by Q)
Demons that once almost destroyed the world, has been revived. To prevent the world from being destroyed, the demon has to be sealed, and the only one who can do this is the shrine maiden, Shion, from the country of demons.
This time, Naruto's mission is to guard Shion, but she was able to foresee Naruto's death. The only way to escape this inpending death, is to get away from Shion, which would leave her unguarded. If Shion is killed, it would mean the end of the world. How would Naruto face his destiny?
Many hard-core fighting scenes... here, you see Taijutsu-expert, Lee, putting his life on the line, again, by opening his forbidden gates and exceeding all limits...
... and of all the characters' fighting style, I like Hyuuga Neji's Gentle Fist - Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Strikes [Jyuuken Hou, Hakke Rokujuuyonshou] the best~ his 128 strikes are all critically aimed at the enemy's chakra points to halt the chakra flow and maim the opponent...
... and how the ever-goody-good Taijutsu disciple Lee feeling the pinch and recalling what his sensei once told him... guess what happens next?
... seems like Naruto boyish look is getting more attention now...
... perhaps the most touching part of this story is this scene... a broken-hearten Shion called Naruto a "liar"... did Naruto kept his promise?
... and I so love this bell! So pretty!Do watch this and buy the original when its release! Definately better than its predecessors!
