Good to buy for your aged mom and dad~ (then again, it looks too much like a calculator... and what irks me the most is: why is it that nowadays, all new products start with an 'i' infront of the name?! iphone... inano... iservice... itoiletbowl... iradio... iTV... iRefridgerator... )

Dragonball The Movie: Result
Dragonball The Movie: Result
I got a chance to watch the VCD of this movie... and here's my judgement:
I was actually relieved after watching the VCD... that I didn't waste my money on this at the movie theatres...
Probably the only redeeming factor is Jamie Chung... Yummy~

August 2009: Part 1
August 2009: Part 1
Whoo~ how time flies, its August already...
01 August 2009
@ Golden Mile Complex... was hooked in by my ex-ex company as Events Coordinator-cum-B.S.B.H. (Bao Shuai Bao Hai) over this free-for-all Medical Checkup activity sponsored by the Thai Embassy...
Promotional poster like this on several pillars... doesn't it reminds you of this "Step Up" dancing movie from Hollywood some thing ago? This Thai Girl looks gorgeous though~ =p
I basically had the event site set up nicely for these volunteered group of doctors who came all the way from Thailand to give the people here free medical check-ups...
... and in the mean time (read: the rest of the day) I spent my time wandering around the entire Golden Mile Complex... Suphananong Muaythai Gym is located at a corner of level 3...
A tankful of Catfishes in very shallow waters... If the SPCA is looking at this, can someone there take some action? The sight is seriously gross... the water is murky... the tank super-duper-crowded... and the Catfishes seriously look like they can't wait to be chosen, bought, killed, and be eaten so they can go to heaven, rather than being kept struggling for space in that hellish tank.
Back at the event site, my job for the rest of the day was to ensure everything runs smoothly... its not a simple task though, as many would likely mistaken; it takes good PR networking skills, quick-wittedness, good sense of foresight and an acute-observance of the surroundings to tackle every little impromtu situations that might arise at anytime... Crappy things DO happen, at the most inconvenient time... and when it does, you'll find everyone looking upon you for a solution... and you have to make that executive decision on-the-spot and take responsibility for whatever you decide. Job pays well.
At the same timing and place... my ex-ex company was setting up another site nearby for a Singtel event the following day... Setting up is a fun thing to do... its almost amusing to be witnessing the entire thing happening... cuz these stuff mostly happens in the wee hours of the night... and not many ppl get the chance to see the back-end works... for a start, the Backdrop gets screwed tightly together... then the mega-sized PVC banner gets stapled down neatly...
Once the Backdrop gets lifted up (this darn thing is heavy ok... ) the front and back gets busy...
The carpenters will fix up the store-room behind...
... the AV fellas will move in their expensive equipment...
the tentage fellas will move in the stage brackets and spread the carpet...
6:24pm... Dinner that evening was Steamboat with my gf~ Yummy~
02 August 2009
Sunday! Yet another day @ Golden Mile Complex... the doctors are out on full force because Sunday is the day Golden Mile Complex gets the the most traffic...
blood-pressure station...
weighing stations...
the registration booth... just look at the queue...
Oh~ There is a story behind this... you see, Singtel has this weekly prepaid card roadshow downstairs... so while we're having this FREE medical check-up upstairs, they insisted that a dedicated VIP queue be given to their Singtel customers, so they have special privilege to be given the medical check-up on a priority basis... wah kao... like big deal! We merely gave them a pathetic little set-up here... chunked at a corner.
the diagnosis stations are meant for first come first serve...
meanwhile... the Singtel roadshow sets up their station downstairs...
Emcee You-Fa is a familiar face there... and he is enjoying the company and attention...
Height measuring station...
Queue for the ECG...
I took the free time to visit the stage...
Got the guys there some meals... poor AV fellas are always stuck at their station the whole day...
Lunch time! Its not very often we get the chance to lunch at Golden Mile Complex... afterall, its also called Singapore's "Little Thailand"... Thai-style beef-ball noodles... tastes pretty decent!
Sticky Mango Rice! A must try dessert!
The stage had groups of gorgeous girls taking their turns to perform... its band and songs the whole afternoon...
Fritillaria Pear juice... had sore throat that day... so I downed this bottle in like 3 mins?
05 August 2009
Random shot of Pappy...
06 August 2009
For the record, I love peppermint flavoured ice cream... amongst many other flavours...
07 August 2009
Installing Adobe CS4 Master Collection... took me the whole day...
but its all worth it...
8:53pm... bought my gf some donuts... yummy!
08 August 2009...
8:35am @ Causeway Point... getting ready to head over to JB for a long weekend!
@ JB again... Terbau City Jusco...
the long weekend is just perfect for a little getaway... for some good shopping... and good food!We love steamboat~!
Evening time... overlooking Sembawang from Megah Ria...
Dinner was seafood at Restaurant Todak! Its as crowded as usual...
Seafood was fresh and prices are reasonable!
We filled the table with food...
Caught sight of some tricks! Maybe the kopi tiam people might wanna learn from the waitresses at Restaurant Todak! They clip those softdrinks cans in-between the cups and managed to stacked them so high and cleared them off in one shot... damn efficient.
Restaurant Todak... Thumbs up~09 August 2009...
Just back in Singapore... @ Causeway Point Foodcourt... there is this one stall selling Zhar-Jiang-Mian... looks damn good... I tried it and I gave the thumbs up. This is probably the best standard I've eaten thus far...
My loots from the recent JB trip... Leather casing for my Nokia E71... LV design... kekeke... I got this at Rm 18.00. Thats like less than S$9.00~! Try getting one of these leather casing here in Singapore and even a dull black one would cost from S$18 to $25 each.
Adidas pouch for Rm 35.00~ I like it!
11 August 2009... Was a hectic day for me...
Brother woke me up at 6+am complaining of stomach cramps and asked me to send him to the hospital...
7:39am... Breakfast at CGH while waiting for the doctor to attend to him...10:31am... at Mt. Pleasant Animal Medical Centre... Bedok Ave 3... took Pappy there for his annual injection...
This fella here weigh a good 5KG! Over-weight greedy puppy. No wonder it was getting more tedious carrying him these days...Oh if you happened to be there... you might smell something real nice coming from this cake shop right beside the Vets...Remember these old-school biscuits with the 安 word?Yep~ they have it baked fresh from the stove here at this shop!
11:14am... sending pappy home... the injection will set the puppy down for 2 days....12:48pm... back at CGH... brother was hospitalized...12 August 2009

Also bought some incense package for the coming Hungry-Ghost Festival...Putu Mayam... an Indian-style mee-hoon-with-sugar snack... I love it!
14 August 2009
Early in the morning headed down specifically to Geylang to get my hands on this sample booklet of laminates... anyone with an interest in customizing their own cupboards can approach me ya?
11:23am... outside Keppel Distripark... imported some goods from China... I have a 72% profit margin if this trade goes through well...
2:00pm @ Ubi Ave 3... ComfortDelgro's service centre... Getting my car serviced here for the 20,000Km ran... I have no qualms getting the services here because they are GOOD and they are TRANSPARENT. U get to see your car... and you get the technicals stuff explained clearly to you... and the technicians are very knowledgeable.. Thumbs Up.
Also at the ComfortDelgro's service centre is the SILENT car accessories shop... so packed with goodies you can spend an hour window shopping inside!
6:38pm @ Chomp-Chomp~ Osyters Cake! Yummy! Long time no see already... I bought one without hesitation...Bought it from this stall here...Sting-Ray with lotsa sambal chilli...the ever-so good BBQ chicken wings~ $1.00 each! If you noticed, East Coast hawker centre sells BBQ wings at S$1.20 each while Newton Circus sells them at S$1.50 each (correct me if I am wrong on this...).
