What I overheard...

Was keeping my ears wide and heard people talking about the North-South Road incident. Remember the case where this family's MPV lost control and smashes into a tree? The whole family didn't survive except for the baby girl...

Poor girl... I genuinely sympathize with her.

What I've heard:
(1) Rich girl; this sole survivor has a huge fortune left for her. People are fighting to get her custody. Some are genuinely wanting to adopt this girl... some perhaps are just after her money; very hard to differentiate. (I wonder where her relatives are? Why can't the government set up a "trust" organization where there are government-hired custodians to watch over a child's fortunes and growing up?)

(2) Of the North-South Expressway... people usually drives 100kmph and above along this route (cus its damn straight, long and smooth; I've done 130kmph in my ex-boss's Camry b4). Rumor has it that those who survived near accidents all reported of having seen and overtaken a 灵车 (funeral-car) driving really~~~ slow~~~. Most people's natural reaction was to overtake this slow moving vehicle without a second thought....

BUT... should they overtake this car, they will meet up with tragic accident further ahead...

The "old-bird"'s advice was to NOT overtake this vehicle... follow behind the funeral-car respectfully. After a certain distance, which really tests one's patience, the funeral-car will speed up and slowly go out of your sight. (Nobody will be sane enough to chase after this funeral-car and see where it is going okay? So dun bother probing...). After that, one can just continue on with the journey.

Eery...
