24th December 2007 in Taiwan

X'mas eve morning, 8:18am in the coach...
Best thing to do after breakfast is ZzZ.... especially when the seats are reclined~

Spring and Autume Pavilions (春秋亭)
Our first stop is to visit the Xuan Tian Shang Di Temple (玄天上帝) at this area. Unfortunately, the nearby Dragon and Tiger Pagodas (龙虎塔) are still under construction / renovation, so I was only able to catch a glimpse of it. Wasn't fast enough to take a pic of it. Just think Haw Par Villas and you will have an idea how it looks like.

Pretty nice air out there in the morning... See those numerous statues? There's names craved below each of them; appears they are donors to the sculpting of the statues. Thats 玄天上帝 (I think) holding his Seven Stars Sword (七星剑).
I wasn't feeling very well that very morning... heavy in the head... still in semi-conscious-state...

until I finally got my hands on a can of Pocari Sweat, at almost a hefty price (almost got ran over by cars while straying away from the tour group, crossed a busy road to get to a drink stall~). Instant revival~!

Kokuhen trying some stunt... that guy in blue on the right was also looking at where Kokuhen was staring... hahaha
I finally "woke-up" after the drink... ( ^____^ )

Behind is a University gate. Was told that if you can make it into this school, jobs will come looking for you even BEFORE you graduate... I was more interested in the toilet beside the carpark...

Sign below states "Recording in process, please smile"... WAT THE HECK ?! I am going inside to wee wee, and I have no intention to let you film me doing it...

Hai Bao Pearl and Jewelry Shop
Next stop, (Out of Itinery) Hai Bao Pearl and Jewelry Shop. Went inside to learn how Pearl Powder (珍珠粉) were made...

or rather, commercialised... (see the picture on the 1st row, column 2? Multiple pearls in a single clam...)

Pretty informative and eloquent presenter; I learnt the difference between edible and inedible pearls.

Then the moment of truth - after all the presentation and free sampling and stuff... they ask if you want to BUY~ Ha! I was the first one to slip outta that shop.

Next, Toilet stopover, again. (Note: was cold and dry in Taiwan, so we kept drinking water... and such toilet stopovers were very essential, because once we hit the highways to the next attraction, god knows how far and long it will take to reach!)

Anyway, this has got to be the MOST BREATH-TAKING toilet. I was wee-weeing and my view infront is the sea~ Natural ventilation from the sea (and taking my pants down in that toilet cubicle wasn't any relieve... it was so cold!)

Let me stress again that I think I make a good photographer... hee hee... Kokuhen was my model for the journey...

Oh, I was on the verge of buying this gigantic fireworks (my left hand) for X'mas countdown...
Big red onions the size of oranges... was told that some people eat them like apples... I think the town is void of vampires.... eh, wait.... wasn't it garlic?
Travelling to Pindong... between attractions to attractions, its the sea on the right....
and mountains on the left.... ZzZzZzzzzz I took the chance to nap...

until we arrive at Kenting National Park's - Cat's Nose Cape (猫鼻头) .

Breath-taking scenary~

Beautiful coastline~
and good clean air!
Was breathless by the time I climbed up the hill...
Here's the Kenting National Park map...Said to be the brighest lighthouse in Asia... Kokuhen's trying to catch it... its quite small u know?

and Jiawoei caught me shooting the above picture... haha...
and Jerry licked it... told me it was tasteless...
and we starting fooling around... but that's after a couple of tele-tubbies ran pass across the greens. What do you think of my photography skills? Crap? or the models?
Here are the photo-shooting scene...
so much fun~
and a very scenic view of the mountains from beside the lighthouse. Tour guide told us we're heading for that sharp sharp mountain over there.... (OMG...)
A proper shot of me at the lighthouse....

and our group photo... (Tour-leader helped, but she was giggling too much, so the shot turned out blurred...)

so we had a second shot taken... fooled around too much , hee hee.... =p

Finally checked into our hotel in Kenting. Its 统茂's chain again... but nice view! Got McDonalds' too! =D~~ (scene from my hotel room window)

and off we head out to check out whats on the streets... and to find a good place for dinner~
(that's me in the corner of the photo, with my camera~)

Ooo... I got distracted by that pretty girl who walked passed me...
I took this picture.... I still think I make a good photographer... =p
funny alfro chap with huge shades... sunglasses there ain't cheap, nor unique... gave it a miss...
but my usual sweet tooth didn't let this ice cream off! I asked auntie to make it longer, but thats the best she could do...
probably the most eye-catching window display along the whole street!
Italian Spinach Cheese Flavour Lays Potato Chips~

We settled down at a decent restuarant for our X'mas eve dinner... Jerry was a bit shocked at the prices...and here's a photo of our dishes... yummy~
