AZAMARA QUEST

AZAMARA QUEST

17 December 2008 @ HarbourFront Centre...

Following my previous Legends of the Seas tour by Royal Caribbean, I got another wonderful opportunity to visit the Azamara Quest. This luxurious mega cruise had just made its maiden call at Singapore's HarbourFront Centre port, and due to depart again at 4pm today.
The Azamara Quest measures 593 ft, weighs 30,277 tonnes, and boasts an occupancy rate of 694 guest (that means bigger rooms!). For the record, the Azamara is at the Top -tier of luxury cruises (versus the Royal Caribbean, which is at 3rd-tier).

Armed with only a visitor pass and my trusty digital camera, allow me to bring you on my amature photographic tour of this luxurious ship...En route to Azamara Quest...Boarded the ship via Deck 5 and walked down this lovely flight of T-shaped staircase to Deck 4 (feeling like Leonardo DeCarprio in that ship movie... wat's it called again?) ...
... right in front of the staircase at Deck 4 is the Guest Relations counter...... on the right of the Guest Relations counter is Boutique C, a section so bright and filled with bling blings that my transition lens went dark... (right~). And towards the left, you'll find the counter to book for the Shore Excursions...Deck 5 - Mosaic Cafe for that caffeine fix...
Was here with a filming crew along...
Moving forward past the Mosaic Cafe, we arrived at the Martini Bar...
The Martini Bar gave me a very cosy and warmth feeling...
... just looking at the fireplace and the Xmas tree beside made me want to order a nice cup of hot chocolate and sink into one of these chairs, kick back and relax away~
... dun forget to look atop~! The ceiling boasts a splendid painting that I went "Wah..."
... a quick snap of myself~
Deck 5 - Discoveries Restuarant and Lounge...
Past the Martini Bar and beyond, we arrive at the Discoveries Restuarant and Lounge...This is one gorgeous restuarant to be in!
Fine dining anyone?... tuffle-white table cloth and sparkling crockeries just boosts one's appetite, don ya think so?more pictures...
... at the aisle... some random photos...
... its pretty easy to lose your way inside this huge ship...
... afterall, it has 11 Decks...
Deck 4 - Ocean View StateroomThe Queen size bed looked so inviting... (considering I woke up very early this morning...)
The Ocean View Stateroom comes with a Queen Sized Bed, a 2-seater Sofa, a Dressing Table and a coffee table... (of course, there's a washroom...)
... me outside at the door...Deck 6 - Royal SuiteWanna know how huge this suite is? I took an approx. 30secs video to show you...

Past the door into this Royal Suite, its the telephone desk and dining table...... then we've an approx 43" LCD TV set and the beverage counter with a bottle of champagne, a couple of cans of beers and soft drinks...... a cozy sofa and a coffee table surrounded by interesting artworks...... moving inwards past the curtains, we've a lovely Queen Size bed, a beautiful wooden wardrobe, a study desk, a 20" LCD TV set facing the bed and... ... the window in front of the study table offers a gorgeous view out to sea...... moving even inwards, we've the washroom...... and a lovely white bathtub big enough for a couple...(~.^) Oh! That looks like an attached Jaccuzi feature there...Moving back out to where the dining table was... the door opens to the balcony ouside...
... with a couple of coffee tables and chairs... and 2 lovely and comfortable cushioned deckchairs!
... even better, the balcony outside offers a spectacular view of the ship's bow and what's ahead! The view here is simply splendid! I love it~! You will too!
Deck 7 - Deluxe Ocean ViewWe arrive at the Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom (with Balcony)...
...the Stateroom offers a panorama window with an unobstructed view out to sea... (which coincidentally, was being obstructed by a Superstar cruiseship berthed beside... )
Deck 9 - Pool Deck
... Well I actually went up to Deck 10 so I can take a better picture from up there...
... jogging track around Deck 10...... another picture of myself... hee... (yea, I finally got someone to help me take picture...)
... back indoors, I couldn't help but snap a picture of this beautifully decorated stairwell...
Deck 10 - The Drawing Room (Michael's Club)... appears to be a library / study sorta lounge, furnished with deep and comforatble couches and armchairs...
... a magnificient ceiling art...... and another lovely fireplace!

... (makes me wonder why Santa has the right sense of mind to drop himself down from the chimney... )

Deck 10 - AQUALINA Restaurant
This is my favourite restaurant so far... the interior colour theme just suits my taste... lemme show you why...

Lovely isn't it?... just a random photo in the Gents... the washroom offers a generous serving of hand-towels...
... next up... lunch time at Deck 9 - Pool Grill...
... cooling down with a glass of orange juice while waiting for my Ham Burger... ... a glimpse at the Pool Grill counter...... I could actually do with just these hotdogs alone...... the chefs working on my Ham Burger...Deck 9 - Windows CafeWindows Cafe serves delicious food~! A pity I was in a rush, so did not have the time to dine inside... but I made quick dash for ....
... the Ice Cream counter!Cinnamon and Blueberry cone...Wonderful day abroad the Azamara Quest! I enjoyed my short tour and had fun exploring around, though I didn't cover the ship completely (think Gym and Casino... )

To see more, do visit the Azamara website below for a very nice Video Introduction and a Virtual Tour of the ship. The website is very nicely done up and user-friendly.
